Let me be honest with you: The point of this workshop is not to teach you how to draw perfect lettering or give you a cookie-cutter method to follow.

Say what? A lettering workshop that doesn’t make me the best artist? What’s the point then?

I’m glad you asked; see, I can read your mind already. We will get along just fine.

This class will teach you the foundation of lettering and all the rules you need to know, so you can then break them to make your own wobbly lettering style.

Have you ever wanted to try lettering? But your inner voice whispers:
😫 Ugh I suck, my skill is not good enough to learn lettering.
😫 My sketches are ugly, I gotta hide them.
😫 I don’t know what I’m doing.

The good thing is you don’t need to listen to it. Tell your impostor syndrome to take a chill pill. The truth is, 'Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.'

Lemme show you my first-ever lettering pieces in 2014 with Sharpie 🫣. Don’t laugh at me. We gotta start somewhere, right? I gave up for 3 years before I tried again because like you, I thought I wasn’t good enough. Don’t be like me. Start where you are with what you have.

After years of self-taught and practicing, I learned to embrace wobbly lettering.

Tbh, I was afraid people might see the wobbly lettering as amateur. To my surprise, it led me to many amazing opportunities with clients like Canon, Adobe, Cotton On, to name a few.

I created this workshop because I wish I had had this resource when I started my creative journey.

By the end of this workshop, you might not be the “best of the best letterer,” but you will have learned how to find your way to a “that’s so you” style and embrace your imperfect art.
